ABBY graduated from high school last year, & is presently attending college to study Education!

4 YEARS ago, ABBY got a  HAIRCUT to start HER 14th year!
Continuing with my tradition of blogging for my grandchildren's birthdays, I'd like to introduce Ewe to Abby Elizabeth Grace, a wonderful young lady of character. She is someone who inspires me, & hopefully will inspire Ewe. Today, February 8th, She will officially be 19 years old chronologically, however, she has displayed wisdom that extends beyond her present age. By the way, I must tell Ewe that because she is my granddaughter, I'll have to try very hard to remain as objective as possible!

Puppies are one of Abby's favorite animals
I will still love Abby, even though she's a TEENAGER!
At 19, ABBY still  loves to "cuddle" with a good BOOK!
First, Abby has grown up knowing what  "Responsibility" is, as the oldest sister in a family of six. Webster defines Responsibility as: "condition, quality, fact, or instance of being responsible; obligation, accountability, dependability." Abby is very aware of the fact that she has three younger sets of eyes, "watching" her every move & embraces her role wholeheartedly.

Being "Responsible" for younger siblings, at times, drives me Crazy!

We love following Abby around  during her many Adventures!

Sharing with siblings can be really sweet!

Abby Elizabeth Grace also embodies the character quality of Compassion. When Abby notices someone at school being left out, she's quick to rally by their side & include them in whatever she is doing. She "roots" for the underdog & tries to elevate the downcast, empathizing with the outcasts. Six years ago, Abby's compassion at school lead her to tutor kindergarten & 1st graders, assisting them in any areas of academic difficulty. Abby also enjoys sharing food with team members who are really hungry! (or forgetful.)In her Senior  year, she was selected as Drum Major for her Award- Winning school Band! I'm sure that her role as leader has given her Plenty of opportunities to be Compassionate! We  actually got to observe her in action on Senior Night at the Football game & were very impressed & Blessed!Since Graduating H.S. last year, Abby is attending college & preparing to become a TEACHER! She also works in Hobby Lobby to help with "gas" money!

Helping one another is a pathway to genuine kindness!
Abby enjoys helping those in need, even if they are a little "Different"!
Abby has compassion on both the large & the small.
Abby Elizabeth Grace is also very faithful in her pursuit of God. Each week she faithfully attends church, & has participated in an Awana club, which emphasized the value of  memorizing God's Word. Abby also has volunteered in the Kids Zone at church, helping to watch and teach the younger kids! Five years ago, she
also had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Haiti with her Dad. She fell in love with the people & couldn't believe how happy they were, even though they had so few possessions.  As an added bonus, she was also able to meet an orphan child that her family was supporting! God is truly GOOD! Two summers ago, on INDEPENDENCE DAY, Abby & four other of our grandchildren took part in a baptismal service, in which I had the privilege of participating, TALK about "CHILL-BUMPS"!

Always be Quick to help others! I go from 0-60 in 3 seconds!
Love one another because "Family" is #1 in my book!
Abby knows that everyone needs a "HUG"!

Finally, Abby's name means , "Source of Joy"! Her life verse is John 15:11- "These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you." Besides being a "Source of Joy" at home & at church, Abby also loves playing a trombone in the school band, as well as being selected as the Drum Major. She also went to camp this two summers ago, in order to prepare for her new role! Playing soccer, running cross country & track, & reading are other activities that bring Abby real joy! Abby's favorite color is the color PURPLE, & her most inspiring personal verse is:" The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1b

ABBY has a tender heart that feels the hurts of others!

Abby loves playing Trombone with the Band!
Abby enjoys playing SOCCER!
ABBY believes that, " Long Distance is the next best thing to being there"!
ABBY enjoys running Cross Country!

Sheep enjoy the comfort of knowing that they are part of something bigger than themselves. The herd offers some sense of security, but not the same kind of protection offered by the Shepherd on a daily basis.

I "herd" It's safer to hang together!

Loving one another is Un-Be-"Leaf"-Able!

Abby is HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY, when being carried by the Shepherd!
When we see young people of character, such as Abby Elizabeth Grace, who love & respect both their family & their God, we can rejoice! The Good Shepherd is still on the move in the hearts of men & that should bring all of us Hope! I can't wait to see how God will use her in the lives of the young people she will be teaching!

But Jesus said "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Mt. 19:14

Abby likes playing the TROMBONE, but refuses to blow her own horn!

ABBY loves spending swimming with COUSINS!

ABBY  having a "BALL"THROWING to her Cousins in TN!
